What Makes This Stroller Good For Travel?

When deciding what makes a good lightweight travel stroller, we’ve determined that the follow criteria are important when considering which travel stroller to buy: lightweight, deep recline, compact, fold, storage, car seat compatibility. These six pieces of criteria are will help make a parent’s life easier when on the go. The Qbit+ meets all these criteria and excels in every category.

Why is Weight Important?

A stroller’s weight is important to consider when choosing a travel stroller. While a primary stroller could be heavier, a travel stroller needs to be able to move from place to place without being a nuisance. A lightweight stroller is easier to pick up and bring around without becoming a headache. If you are traveling, chances are you’ll have some luggage to worry about. A lightweight stroller will add minimal additional weight.

Why Is Recline Important?

On trips, you’ll often spend a good portion of the day wandering around and exploring the area. You may not have an opportunity to return to your hotel or room to put the baby down for a nap. With a reclining stroller, your little one can fall asleep with you are out and about. The reclining seatback acts like a bed. Some strollers will have and adjustable footrest to make napping even more comfortable. Some parents use a reclining stroller as an on-the-go changing table!

Why Is Folding Important?

Your travel stroller should fold easily. It’s even better if it has one-hand folding capabilities. When you’re going from place to place, you may need to collapse the stroller to get in and out of transportation. Taxis, buses, subways, and trains all require you to fold your stroller. The easier the stroller is to told, the easier your life will be. Sometimes, you may have your hands fold, which is why a one-hand fold is a desirable trait for a travel stroller. If you have your baby in one arm, you can still collapse the stroller without putting your baby down. If you are traveling or frequently taking public transportation, you will need a stroller that is easy to fold

Why Is Compactness Important?

A compact stroller is better for traveling since they take up less space. A compact stroller can fit into tight places, like a full car trunk or an overhead compartment. When you travel, space is a valuable and limited resource. With a compact stroller, you can bring it with you without worrying about how much space it will take up. If you are traveling to a city or another popular destination, a compact stroller is better for navigating through crowds and maneuvering in tight spaces. You don’t want to accidentally take out a pedestrian with your giant stroller.

Why Is Storage Important?

The onboard storage for a travel stroller is critical for a smooth trip. On a typical umbrella stroller, there is little or no storage at all. This can be problematic if you need to bring a diaper bag or other necessitates with you. Or if you decide to go shopping, you’ll need a place to put all your stuff. A big storage bin lets you store the essentials without having to wear an extra bag. If you decide to go shopping, you can put your purchases into the storage bin and you won’t need to figure out how to transport it all back with you. You can’t hold all the bags in your arms – how are you going to push the stroller if you don’t have free hands? Stroller storage for a travel stroller is crucial.

Why Is Car Seat Compatibility Important?

Car seat compatibility is a great additional feature for any travel stroller. Depending on the family, car seat compatibility may or may not be the most important stroller trait. If you frequently take taxis or drive a lot, then you may need a car seat compatible stroller. This is also known as a travel system. With a travel system, you transfer your baby from the stroller to the car without disturbing him or her. And vice versa! If you are taking the baby out on a trip, having a travel system eliminates the need to carry a car seat in addition to the stroller. With a car seat compatible stroller you can simply clip it into the stroller and you’ll be on your way. Most strollers, the gb Qbit+ included, are only infant car seat compatible. After your child outgrows their infant car seat, the travel system is no longer effective. Keep that in mind as you search for strollers. (Note: if you need a stroller that is convertible car seat compatible, you may want to consider the Mountain Buggy Nano)

Why Choose This Stroller?

When deciding what travel stroller to buy, this is the clear winner. The gb Qbit+ has everything a parent could want in a stroller. The only thing that it doesn’t do is convertible car seat compatibility. It is, however, infant car seat compatible. If this is not an issue for you, this is definitely the best travel stroller on the market. It is significantly cheaper than the Babyzen Yoyo+, another popular travel stroller, and it performs just as well. It may even outperform the Yoyo+! The gb Qbit+ is lightweight. It can recline for on-the-go napping, it’s super small and compact, and it folds with one hand. And, it can turn into a travel system. And don’t worry, it’s extremely comfy for your child too. It has an adjustable leg rest and a padded seat for optimal riding comfort. They can spend hours in the stroller without getting uncomfortable. If your family travels a ton, and does not care about convertible car seat compatibility, this is hands down our recommendation!

“Love it! I’ve been eyeing this and waiting for it to come to the US. After reading reviews on every umbrella stroller this was my first choice. Weight wise, it’s comparable to most umbrella strollers at 14 lbs… I also wanted a stroller mainly for traveling on a plane. We fly often to California and didn’t want to always check in our vista or any stroller..”
