Durability

Very Good – 8/10

The 4moms Origami Stroller is built with sturdy materials and has a strong frame. There is no bumper bar in the front to absorb an impact, so users need to be careful otherwise the stroller will wear down if it keeps running into objects.

Weight

Good – 5/10

This stroller weighs in at 27 lbs which is quite heavy, granted the folded option does have a handle that the user can pull on to let it drag behind them. But the problem is lifting the 27 lbs up stairs or putting it into the trunk.

Brakes

Good – 5/10

The 4moms Stroller has a brake lock on the right rear end wheel where when activated will lock both wheels simultaneously, the front wheels do not lock which is disappointing. Most strollers in this age have the ability to lock their front wheels.

Compact

Good- 6/10

The 4moms Origami Stroller is bulky even when folded. It can fit in the trunk of a car but it is not the type of stroller one would bring around to go shopping or on small errands. It measures in at 38″L x 21″W x 14″H when unfolded.

“I first saw the Origami on youtube last year. It was a teaser video, and there was not much information available about it at that time. Seeing this stroller however, prompted me to buy a Mamaroo for my baby that was on the way. I enjoyed that product so much, that when this stroller finally came out, with no questions asked, I set my Chicco keyfit travel system in the garage, and switched to the Mamaroo. “

Ease of Use

Good – 6/10

The 4moms Stroller is meant to be a stroller that is easy to use but there are a lot of inconveniences when it comes to this stroller. Firstly there is no basket for storage, it is sort of like a bag that hangs below and does not have much space to organize. Secondly the stroller does have a high tech dashboard that counts a persons steps, but this is almost useless because this is not even a jogging stroller. However the good parts about this stroller are its folding mechanism and its smooth glide due to all wheel suspension. A cool feature that this stroller possess are that it has it’s own headlights which can guide the user during the night time and a phone charging outlet. The wheels also charge the stroller through a generator while the user walks.

Folding

Excellent – 9/10

This stroller has a state of the art fold, and this is one of the biggest positives about the stroller. The stroller can fold automatically with the touch of a button, and also can unfold with the touch of button. It is still bulky when folded as well.

Grip

Very Good – 7/10

The handlebars are padded with foam and are higher, so this stroller is geared towards taller parents and the handlebars are not adjustable.

Maneuverability

Very Good- 8/10

The wheels on the Chicco Liteway Stroller are made of hard rubber so they will last much longer than other strollers that have hard plastic wheels. Plastic wheels deteriorate quicker when used on roads or even smooth surfaces.

“Husband and I loves to travel and we really planned of getting our baby the best stroller! We want our little girl to have the best and stylish “ride” as we call it. Hubby with his extreme excitement and amazement posted a video of how the stroller works in facebook and instagram showing off how works, and to our suprise no all knew about it! Our families, friends were so amazed and thrilled by it commenting its like autobot transformers”

Rough Terrain

Good – 5/10

This stroller is not made for tough walks or rough terrain since the wheels have limited suspension and is not built like a jogging stroller.

Accessories

Good – 6/10

This stroller does not come with a lot of accessories. But many can be bought off amazon such as the bassinet, carseat adapters, and rain cover.

Easy to Assemble

Excellent – 10/10

Assembling the stroller is no problem the 4moms Origami comes ready assembled in the box.

Easy to CLean

Very Good – 8/10

The 4moms Origami Stroller is easy to clean the seat cover and be detached as well as the canopy and wheels. The fabric is also machine washable.

“The material and padding were nice and elegant. Padding was soft and comfortable to touch, it’s definitely good for babies. Although we were expecting to get the black one, we got the silver one as the insert. Although it seems that it’s easy to get dirt on, it’s pretty easy to keep it neat and tidy. The mesh material on the cover deserved to get a grade of A. I love how it offers parents to securely see their child while riding the stroller. The mesh also provides air ventilation for the child, especially here in Hawaii because it’s pretty hot. The overall built of the stroller is solid. It is indeed sturdy. It definitely can carry a 40 lbs. baby and I even tried sitting on it to demonstrate and prove that it was indeed a good and strong stroller”

Storage

Good – 5/10

The storage on the 4moms Origami is very limited in comparison to other standard strollers. It has 4 cup holders, small zipper bags behind the seat, and tiny hanging bag that goes under the stroller. This stroller does not have the capability to use a basket. The bag that is under the stroller is also very small and cannot even hold a small diaper bag.

Child Comfort

Fair – 4/10

The seat in the 4moms Origami stroller does have good padding, however the leg rest is very narrow so larger children cannot be accommodated in this stroller. On top of this the sun canopy is not the largest and does not provide the best protection. The stroller also only accommodates children that are 6 months to 40 lbs. 40 lbs is lower than the average budget stroller, most strollers today can at least accommodate a children up to 50 lbs. This is a very disappointing statistic for a stroller that worth $850.

Sun Canopy

Good- 6/10

The stroller does not provide the best amount of shade for the child, compared to other strollers that cost less. The sun canopy is not worth the money that must be spent on this stroller. On top of that it does not even provide UV Protection.

Suspension

Very Good  – 7/10

The 4moms Origami Stroller has decent suspension on all four wheels. However this stroller is not meant for jogging or rough terrain.

What Do Experts Say?

“The 4 Moms Origami claims to be what a stroller should be, but we disagree. It offers power folding with the touch of a button and has generators on the rear wheels to charge the stroller while you walk (though you do need to plug it in for recharging regularly).” – Baby Gear Lab

“Origami is definitely designed for urban lifestyle, but on-the-go parents will find it very heavy for traveling and not very convenient for running errands. Grocery shopping will also be difficult since there is no basket. ” –  Mom’s Stroller Reviews
