The Summer Infant 3DLite Stroller is a budget stroller so the materials it is made out of are not the most durable. The frame is made out of stylish aluminum which is a light metal, however it is brittle so people must be careful when storing the stroller. Users have left it in storage areas and have noticed the metal bent (see review here).

Excellent – 9/10

This is a lightweight stroller made from aluminum and so with a weight of 12lbs this is a stroller that is easy to carry with one hand. Even more carry on your shoulder. Imagine a backpack with some books and a laptop, thats basically what this will feel like!

Very Good – 8/10

All the wheels on the Summer Infant 3DLite can be locked. There are two foot switches on the rear end wheels, these are not flip-flop friendly. So when using this stroller be prepared with a good pair of shoes. On the front wheels there are locks on the top right above the wheels. These should be locked when going over non-smooth terrain, such as grass.

Excellent – 8/10

The Summer Infant 3DLite is a compact stroller and it can fit through almost all doors. When folded it can fit in the top of an airplane storage unit. It is small enough to fit in the trunk of a sedan as well.

“I waited until I used this stroller on my trip to Europe before I reviewed it. I have to say, this stroller was awesome and I can’t recommend it enough. Of course, there is no perfect stroller. After 3 kids, I have owned more than 7 strollers (that I can remember) from the top of the line to the $20 umbrella and they all have their pros and cons. If I had it to do all over again, I would buy this stroller for all 3 for airplane travel and walks around town.”

Excellent – 9/10

The Summer Infant 3DLite is also extremely easy to use, all its features are accessible via a button or straps. The five point harness may have some type of learning curve, but it is very easy to take off once it is securing fastened onto the child.

Very Good – 8/10

The Summer Infant 3DLite has a three step folding process outlined here. When folded the Summer Infant 3DLite Stroller measures in at 43″L x 10″W x 9″H.

Very Good – 8/10

The handlebars on the Summer Infant 3DLite are padded with foam, there are previous models of Summer Infant’s that are strictly only plastic. These can get uncomfortable to push after a long duration of time and can cause the users hands to become tired.

Very Good – 8/10

The Summer Infant 3DLite has decent maneuverability. The front wheels have the ability to rotate 360 degrees and also lock in the front if the user needs to go over terrain such as grass. There is also front wheel suspension which aids the user when hitting humps in the road.

“It’s sturdy, light enough to carry comfortably for short distances, easy to assemble/fold up, and easy to push. The handles are at a good height for me at 5’7, and I can imagine a much taller person would also be comfortable pushing the stroller.”

Good – 6/10

The Summer Infant 3DLite Stroller only has front wheel suspension so it is not suited for rough terrain or long nature hikes in the woods. It is possible to bring this into rough terrain but it will be difficult to maneuver.

Good – 6/10

The Summer Infant 3DLite has no accessories that comes with a cup holder.

But some extra accessories that can be bought include:

 – A Childress Gate Check Bag (this is used for traveling and storing it on airplanes)
– Summer Infant Rayshade Cover
– A Universal Rain Cover
These accessories must be bought separately and are not sold by Summer Infant. (Besides the Rayshade Cover)

Excellent – 9/10

The Summer Infant 3DLite comes almost fully assembled the only thing that must be attached are the sun canopy and the wheels, the instructions are provided in the box upon delivery or purchase.

Very Good – 8/10

All parts on the stroller are detachable, such as the seat, wheels, canopy, storage space. It is not recommended to put the parts in the washing machine. For the best result all parts should be hand washed.

“We have a 10 month old and a 6 year old. When our oldest was borne we splurged and bought a first generation Bugaboo Bee, and we loved that thing. We sold it after he was done with it, but before our second child arrived (we still miss it). However, we now have the one-two punch of the Cameleon and the Yoyo+. It’s nice having a big off-road “4×4 stroller”, and the light, nimble Yoyo…….”

Very Good – 8/10

The Summer Infant 3DLite has two different compartments for storage. There is a mesh pocket behind the seat which can be used to store smaller items such as wallet, phone and books. Below the seat there is a medium sized compartment that can fit a small bag. But it should be noted that when the seat is declined the user cannot take things out of the bottom compartments, they must either recline the seat or take the items out from the side of the stroller.

Very Good – 8/10

The Summer Infant 3DLite Convenience Stroller is a good choice for a comfortable budget lightweight stroller. It possess the the ability to recline to about 60 degrees, this makes the stroller comfortable enough to nap in for the child. There is padding on the back and seat of the stroller as well. But the foot rest is unadjustable which make it harder for those children who are taller. On top of this the stroller does not have a lot of clearance. So taller children may have their feet touch the ground while sitting in the stroller. The Summer Infant 3DLite Convenience Stroller also has a weight capacity of 50lbs which is great for a stroller that only weighs 12 lbs.

Good – 5/10

The sun canopy on the Summer Infant 3DLite Convenience Stroller is small and barely covers the child up. The only way this would be able to cover the child up is if the sun we’re directly above the child, not next to or around. However the sun canopy does a small extension which allows for a tiny bit extra shade.

Very Good – 8/10

The Summer Infant 3DLite Convenience Stroller only possesses front wheel suspension so it is better than most budget lightweight strollers. This helps aid users in pushing the stroller under uneven roads. But this stroller should not be taken on nature hikes or rough terrain.

A family is not complete without their own stroller!
