The Mountain Buggy Nano is an extremely lightweight stroller that is perfect for traveling or for the city.  This compact stroller can even fit in an airplane’s overhead compartment, which is an advantage when traveling with your little one.  It can maneuver through crowds of people, which is essential if you plan on going to a popular destination.  You don’t need to wait until your baby is older to use this stroller because it is bassinet and car seat compatible.  This is the ONLY stroller that is both infant car seat and convertible car seat compatible! With the Cosco Scenera Next, you’re little one can enjoy a travel system even after they’ve outgrown the infant car seat. You’ll be able to use this stroller for years to come.  The deep recline, large sun canopy, and mesh panel will keep your baby comfy during the ride. The wheels could be smoother and the sun canopy can become annoying to the parents when pushed back, but despite a few minor annoyances, it’s a wonderful choice for any family that is looking for a lightweight travel stroller.

The Mountain Buggy Nano is virtually nonexistent when folded. Taking the stroller onto the plane won’t cause any issues.

Weight

Very Good – 8/10

At 13 pounds this little stroller is easy to pick and and transport from place to place.  Grandma and grandpa push this stroller too!  If you are carrying this stroller in the airport or moving it in and out of your trunk, you won’t be complaining about the stroller’s weight.

Brakes

Very Good – 8/10

The footbrake on the Nano is easy to engage and disengage, even if you are wearing flip flops. The pedal has color indication so you can quickly glance down and see if the brakes are engaged.  It’s a no-brainer system and you can feel safe knowing that your stroller won’t accidentally roll away from you.

Compact

Excellent – 10/10

This stroller is small. When folded, it can fit into the overhead compartment in a plane.  When it’s in use, you won’t need to worry about accidentally running into anything. It creates a hassle-free experience when swerving through crowds or riding public transportation.

“t’s been a life saver having a stroller that folds small enough to bring on the plane with us so that we’re not on the other end holding our babies and waiting for the stroller. Even on small planes, we were able to fit it under the seat in front of us. On large plans it fits in the overhead.”

Ease of Use

Very Good – 7/10

This stroller is great – a wonderful travel companion.  The wheels are made of hard plastic, which is not the easiest to push around all day.  The handlebar height is lower, so it can be annoying to push for taller parents. However, the functionality of this stroller is fantastic and using it regularly is uncomplicated and straightforward.

Folding

Excellent – 9/10

The folding capabilities of this stroller are where it excels.  Not only is it easy to fold, it takes up virtually no space when folded.  You can bring it nearly everywhere.  You can fit the stroller in the overhead compartment instead of checking it in.  Perhaps the only downside is that it requires two hands to fold it.

Grip

Good – 5/10

The Nano’s handlebar is on the lower side and is not adjustable.  Taller parents may want to test them out in person before committing to buying this stroller.  The handlebar itself is comfortable. It’s a continuous handlebar that is covered in foam.  However, another downside is that when the canopy is pushed back, it rests on the handlebar.  Parents have complained about the fabric rubbing against their hands.

Maneuverability

Very Good – 8/10

Pushing this stroller through tight areas is effortless.  Since the stroller is so lightweight, you won’t feel the weight resistance.  The plastic wheels are the only thing that detract from a perfect score. They’re on the smaller side and they’re hard plastic construction is not the smoothest ride for a long period of time.  The plastic wheels are not a dealbreaker, but it can be a bit annoying.

Maneuverability was smooth and effortless. Attaching our infant stroller (britax) was easy and felt secure. It was also so much more compact and easy to fold and store. It takes a bit of getting used to on how to fold it correctly, but it becomes second nature once you get the hang of it..”

Rough Terrain

Fair – 4/10

This stroller does best in cities and on smooth surfaces.  It’s not built to take on the rough outdoors. It excels on sidewalks, making it fantastic for amusement parks.

Accessories

Very Good – 7/10

It does not come with a ton of accessories, but there any many available for purchase.  The travel satchel is included in the box, which comes in handy when going on trips.  This stroller is car seat compatible and bassinet compatible. The Cosco Scenera NEXT car seat is used with this stroller can can be purchased from Walmart for $38.

Easy to Assemble

Excellent – 10/10

The mountain buggy Nano is simple to set up.  No tools are needed to put this stroller together. In minutes, your stroller will be ready to go.

Easy to Clean

Very Good – 7/10

The stroller’s fabric covering can be removed and washed by hand.  This is great since traveling can get dirty quickly.  Unfortunately, it should not be thrown in the washing machine.

“The Mountain Buggy Nano was very easy to fold, worked well on our trip (airport, cruise ship, resort, taxi cabs, etc) with no problem folding it or fitting into the trunk of a car, on the floor of a back seat, in the closet on the cruise ship, in the overhead on the plane, under the table at a restaurant, etc.”

Storage

Very Good – 7/10

For a lightweight stroller, the storage basket on the Nano is great.  It is only accessible from the front of the stroller, but you’ll be able to bring all the essentials with you.

Child Comfort

Very Good – 7/10

You child will be comfortable in this stroller.  The seat is well-padded for optimal comfort.  The seat has a deep recline, so your baby can take a nap on long days out.  The footrest is also adjustable so no matter how long your child’s legs are, they will be comfortable.  The sunshade could be larger, but it’s not terrible. The three-point harness is cushioned and your child won’t be able to unlock it without your help.  The back of the stroller has a mesh area which helps with ventilation on warmer days. Because it is car seat compatible, your infant will be able to use this stroller as well. Many parents opt for the Cosco Scenera Car Seat.

Sun Canopy

Good – 5/10

The sun canopy is not great.  It is on the smaller side, so many parents opt to buy an additional sun cover to protect their baby.  It does not have a peek-a-boo window either.

Suspension

Very Good – 7/10

The rear wheels on the Nano has some suspension, which offers a smoother ride than many other lightweight strollers.  It helps navigate bumps in the road, which can come in handy during city excursions.  You and your baby can enjoy a fluid ride.
