Durability

Good – 6/10

The Kolcraft Cloud Plus is not the most durable stroller available for purchase. Some parents complain that the stroller materials feel a bit flimsy. However, if you are looking for a stroller you can throw around without caring too much about the cost, the Kolcraft is great. This is a stroller where you get what you pay for. If you are paying for something you can abuse a little without hurting the bank account, this is a good option.

The Kolcraft Cloud Plus Lightweight Stroller

Weight

Excellent – 9/10

At only 12 pounds, this stroller is basically a feather. It won’t weigh you down on your next trip. This stroller fares well on transportation.

Brakes

Very Good – 7/10

The Kolcraft Cloud Plus brakes are a two-pedal system. The pedals are located at the rear wheels. Both pedals need to be pushed down in order to fully lock the stroller in place. The brakes can sometimes be stiff and difficult to deal with. Also be sure to always lock both brake pedals so that the stroller doesn’t run away from you.

Compact

Very Good – 8/10

This stroller is compact both folded and standing. It does not have a traditional umbrella fold, but regardless, it takes up little room when folded up. The compact nature of the stroller makes it a great option for traveling.

“It is the most lightweight stroller I’ve ever seen and worked great for the trip. Now I use it as an all purpose stroller because it’s so light and easy to lift into the car for trips to the store and less weight to push on walks to the park..”

Ease of Use

Very Good – 7/10

The Kolcraft Cloud Plus is easy for any parent to use. The folding system is engaged by a single lever. You can store your belongings in the large compartment underneath the stroller, and there are built in cup holders. It will make your life easier on long days out.

Folding

Very Good – 8/10

This stroller is advertised as having one-hand fold. Parents report that you will probably need two hands to actually fold this stroller down. To fold the stroller, slide the lever while pressing down on the red button on the handlebar. Once folded, the stroller stands on its own. It is also very compact when folded.

Grip

Very Good – 7/10

Gripping this stroller is comfortable. Because the folding mechanism is located in the center of the handlebar, one hand steering can be difficult. On the bright side, the handlebar is covered in a soft foam to make it easier to push around.

Maneuverability

Very Good – 7/10

Maneuvering the the Kolcraft Cloud Plus is pretty easy. The wheels are made of a hard plastic which perform best on smooth surfaces, like sidewalks. The design of the stroller makes it less responsive than others. It doesn’t do great on grass or other bumpy surfaces. There is front wheel suspension, which makes the ride a bit smoother for your little one.

“This thing is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! my 2.5 y/o LOVES it! he doesn’t fight me to sit in it like he did his umbrella stroller and he loves having a tray for his rocks 🙂 ! if i had to pick anything at all that i don’t like about this stroller it would be that the seat doesn’t recline as much as i would like but that’s a VERY small price to pay for the awesomeness that is this cadillac of lightweight strollers!”

Rough Terrain

Good – 5/10

Going over rough terrain in this stroller is not advised. Even though there is some built in suspension, the hard rubber wheels will not glide over rough surfaces. It works best on flat, paved surfaces and sidewalks.

Accessories

Excellent – 10/10

The stroller has a built in child tray so your baby can have access to snacks and a drink during your time out. There is also a parent console with cup holder. This is great for holding keys and other little things. Some parents have noted that the cup holders are on the smaller size and only accommodates smaller bottles of water.

Easy to Assemble

Excellent – 9/10

Setting up this stroller is easy. No tools are required for assembly. The instruction book is average, but it does not hinder the assembly process at all. You’ll have your stroller set up in mere minutes.

Easy to Clean

Good – 5/10

Cleaning this stroller is not the easiest task, but not a terrible experience either. Spot cleaning is the best way to address any stains or dirt. the child tray is removeable so you can easily clean it.

“I would recommend this stroller for everyday use because it is easy to open and close, lift, has a moderate canopy (not enough for this Texas weather but great for mostly indoor use or moderately sunny days), and it has a generous and accessible storage basket. “

Storage

Excellent – 10/10

The storage on the Cloud Plus is great. The storage bin is located underneath the carriage. While the basket may be a bit more narrow than some others, it has ample room for all your essentials and more. Access to the storage bin is from the rear of the stroller. With all this storage space, you’ll be able to go shopping and throw your purchases in the stroller without worry. It’s great for long days out or on vacation.

Child Comfort

Very Good – 7/10

Your child will be comfortable riding in the Kolcraft Cloud Plus. The large sunshade will help protect them from UV rays. The seat doesn’t provide too much padding. The harness straps lack padding as well. The multi-position recline is good if your child wants to nap, however it only reclines to about 130 degrees.

Sun Canopy

Excellent- 10/10

The sun canopy is large and will help protect your little one from the sun. The peek-a-boo window lets parents watch their children while out. The peek-a-boo window is made of plastic and does not have a cover, which may become annoying to your little one.

Suspension

Good – 5/10

This stroller does have some suspension, but due to the hard plastic wheels, the suspension may not absorb all the bumps in the road.
