Durability

Very Good – 7/10

The Chicco Liteway is a durable lightweight stroller, it is a little on the heavier side but it causes the stroller to become more durable. The wheels are made of hard rubber instead of plastic like most lower tier strollers.

Chicco Liteway Stroller

Weight

Good – 6/10

The Chicco Liteway Stroller is not the lightest weighing in at 17lbs it is still light enough to carry with one hand. But most lightweight strollers such as the gb Pockit Stroller weigh less than 10lbs. But this stroller does have its perks in the fact that being heavier makes up for other lightweight strollers durability.

Brakes

Good – 6/10

The Chicco Liteway also has 2 different brake mechanisms. There are brake mechanisms on the back of the rear end wheels. Both must be pressed in order to get both wheels to lock. On the front wheels there are two locks that can lock the wheels to a forward facing position. These should only be used when the stroller is used on grass or non-urbanized roads.

Compact

Very Good- 8/10

The Chicco LIteway is compact enough to fit in almost every car trunk besides small cars such as the Smart Car. It cannot stand up by itself, but it can lay flat without any of the compartments touching the ground.

“Overall i’m really pleased with it it’s good quality and looks good and I hope it lasts for a few years.”

Ease of Use

Excellent – 9/10

The Chicco LIteway is compact enough to fit in almost every car trunk besides small cars such as the Smart Car. It cannot stand up by itself, but it can lay flat without any of the compartments touching the ground.

Folding

Excellent – 9/10

This stroller is easy to fold with one hand, however it requires a lot of bending over, so it will not be possible to hold the baby while folding the stroller. The stroller also cannot fold with items in the storage compartment. In addition the folded dimensions are 46.5” long by 13” wide by 11” high, so it is light enough to carry around with one hand. There is also no carrying strap.

Grip

Very Good – 7/10

The handlebars are padded with foam which makes the stroller comfortable to hold onto  also the handlebars are high around 40” off the ground, so this is for taller parents. But it shouldn’t be a problem for shorter parents to push as well.

Maneuverability

Very Good- 8/10

The wheels on the Chicco Liteway Stroller are made of hard rubber so they will last much longer than other strollers that have hard plastic wheels. Plastic wheels deteriorate quicker when used on roads or even smooth surfaces.

“Purchased this for our 18 month old to use while we were on a trip to UK & Europe. It worked perfectly – loved having a little storage space underneath”

Rough Terrain

Good – 5/10

This stroller is not made for tough walks or rough terrain since the wheels have limited suspension since they are only located in the rear.

Accessories

Good – 6/10

This stroller does not have any specific accessories. However you can buy a cup holder for the stroller if the provided cup holder breaks. Additional accessories include a check-in bag and a rainproof cover all available on amazon.

Easy to Assemble

Excellent – 10/10

Assembling the stroller is no problem it comes mostly assembled all that needs to be attached are the wheels and canopy.

Easy to Clean

Very Good – 8/10

The Chicco Liteway Stroller is easy to assemble and does not require any tools such as hammers or drills. You can get some tools from ToolsInside. The owner must read the manual in order to assemble the stroller is does not come in ready to assemble packaging.

“I LOVE this stroller. I just got it, and am very glad I did. I have had many Chicco products in the past, so I already knew it’s a good brand. Recently gave away our infant car seat/stroller system now that my kids are older.”

Storage

Very Good – 7/10

The storage on the Chicco Liteway Stroller is decent for a lightweight stroller, it will carry a medium size diaper bag or a couple bottles of water. The user must keep in mind that when the seat in reclined the user cannot reach in from behind to get their belongings that are storage, they must reach either around or put the seat back in the upright position.

Child Comfort

Very Good – 7/10

The seat provided in the Chicco Liteway is very roomy and provides a good amount of space for the child to sit in. On top of this the leg rest is adjustable which allows for shorter children to put their feet into the stroller and taller children to hang over. The seat back is lightly padded and the bottom of the seat is padded well to increase the comfort for long periods of sitting. The stroller reclines close to flat, however it is not recommended to put newborns in without adding extra padding.

Sun Canopy

Excellent – 10/10

The stroller does not provide the best amount of shade for the child, compared to other strollers in the same price range such as the Summer Infant 3D Lite. There is no extra extension that can be bought for these strollers.

Suspension

Very Good  – 7/10

The rear wheels have suspension, but the front wheels do not. But it should be noted that even with rear wheel suspension it is not possible to take the stroller on an off road trip.
