The Baby Jogger City Tour Travel Stroller is a lightweight stroller that has an incredibly tiny fold. The City Tour is another testimony to the brand that never disappoints. As a travel-friendly stroller, the Baby Jogger City Tour brings convenience and comfort to you and your child. A generous sun canopy with extended visor gives your child abundant protection from the elements. The stroller features a one-hand fold but reviewers felt the multi-step preparation needed to close and open the stroller was a hassle. Overall, the stroller is easy to steer, sturdy, and would still be your number one choice for a travel stroller. Do note that the stroller is only good for children 6 months to 3 years of age.

Durability

Very Good – 8/10

Despite being a lightweight stroller, the Baby Jogger City Tour have left pleasant impressions of a sturdy stroller. However, the stroller has a maximum weight capacity of 30 pounds, which says much about the stroller compromising on durability for lightness.

Baby Jogger City Tour Stroller

Weight

Excellent – 10/10

The Baby Jogger City Tour achieves a perfect score of 10 for weight. The 14 stroller certainly offers parents with convenience and taking the compacted stroller out of the overhead storage in an airplane can never get any easier.

Brakes

Very Good – 8/10

The foot-brake pedal of the Baby Jogger City Tour stroller is located on the right-hand back wheel. A single step to stabilise the stroller is efficient and simple. Most users have no issues with the brakes and it is sandal friendly.

Compact

Excellent – 10/10

Needless to say, the Baby Jogger City Tour stroller is on of the best travel stroller with a great compact size. The stroller has a folded dimension of 22 x 9.8 x 17.7 inches, which is incredibly compact. At this size, the stroller meets the requirements on numerous airlines to be stored in the overhead storage compartment. Storing the City Tour into the trunk of your mini is definitely not a problem.

“The Stroller is AMAZING! I have spent countless nights doing research on travel strollers to find “the right one” and let me save you some time… this is it!”

Ease of Use

Good – 6/10

The Baby Jogger City Tour is certainly easy to use in some aspects. The stroller is easy to steer with one hand and maneuvering in tight spaces is not an issue. However, the stroller lacks in easy-to-use features that defines it as a travel stroller and being “travelable”. The City Tour has a multi-step process to fold the stroller and adjusting the recline height is slightly stiff. Adjusting the harness is also very difficult. These actions are very common when getting on and off transportation and should be convenient when travelling. As a result, the slightly cumbersome City Tour stroller loses out on performance score for ease of use.

Folding

Good – 5/10

Folding the Baby Jogger City Tour stroller can be executed in one hand. However, there are several steps to complete before tugging on the in-seat fold strap, such as toggling 2 separate buttons at separate locations on the stroller. Not to mention that unfolding the stroller requires two hands.

Grip

Very Good – 8/10

The slightly squarish handlebar of the Baby Jogger City Tour features a hard, rubbery plastic rather than foam, which is comfortable to grip to the surprise of many. The low to mid height handlebars are unfortunately not adjustable, which can be slightly uncomfortable for parents with different heights.

Maneuverability

Excellent – 9/10

The stroller is extremely easy to maneuver. The front wheels can be locked for the stroller to travel long distances. The stroller can be easily handled with one hand and navigate through tight spaces with ease. On top of that the stroller weighs only 14 pounds, making it easy to push the City Tour with minimal effort.

“It folds in and out very, very easily. It is a smooth ride and corners well. I am 5’5″ and my husband is 5’10” and we both can handle it comfortably, no stooping.”

Rough Terrain

Very Good – 7/10

The Baby Jogger City Tour has a front wheel suspension that many reviewers mention it being noticeable. The suspension can provide a smoother ride for the child but a fully suspended stroller would definitely make a difference, especially for a lightweight stroller that would usually struggle when strolled off-road.

Accessories

Very Good – 7/10

The stroller comes with a rucksack carrier that you can store your stroller in. Other accessories can be purchased separately, such as a rain cover, bumper bar, and a cup holder. The quality of these accessories are of good quality and you will not regret buying them.

Easy to Assemble

Excellent – 9/10

The Baby Jogger City Tour stroller is relatively easy to assemble. It comes pre-assembled, and all you need to do is to pop the wheels on and unfold the stroller. The instruction manuals that come along with it are well illustrated and easy to follow.

Easy to Clean

Very Good – 8/10

Cleaning the Baby Jogger City Tour stroller is simple and easy. The fabric canvas of the stroller is durable and spot cleaning is all that’s needed.

“We are limited on space in our trunk, we have tested probably five strollers trying to find one that would fit plus have room for groceries and other things in the trunk. This one was a clear winner!”

Storage

Very Good – 7/10

The storage basket in the Baby Jogger City Tour stroller is relatively small but sufficient for a travel stroller. The stroller also comes with a convenient mesh pocket at the back of the child seat for quick and easy access to your essentials like your mobile phone and wallet.

Child Comfort

Very Good – 7/10

The Baby Jogger City Tour Stroller is relatively comfortable for your child. The seat is spacious and soft, shoulder straps are padded, and more than enough space at the foot rest. It is worth noting that, however, the seat depth is relatively shallow and a young toddler may sit with their legs dangling, as oppose to the back of the knees comfortably rested at the edge of the seat. The multi-position recline of the stroller does not offer a full flat recline for a young baby to sleep in.

Sun Canopy

Very Good – 8/10

The canopy of the Baby Jogger City Tour is relatively large and generous. It is SPF50+ and has an extendable sun visor for added protection from the harmful sun rays. The canopy comes with a mesh peek window for you to check on your child at your convenience.

Suspension

Very Good – 7/10

This stroller comes with only front wheel suspension. The suspension for the City Tour works decently as many reviewers mentioned it being noticeable. However, it is definitely more preferred if the stroller is fully suspended for a smooth ride over bumps and lumps.
